This recipe was given to me by a neighbor, Pat Dunaway when we lived in Colorado many years ago. Whenever we had a cul-de-sac BBQ, which was several times a year, she didn't dare come without bringing it. It was loved by all. It is very simple to make.
This was good and easy to make. I used frozen sweet white corn; not sure if it drained well enough; I cooked for 55 minutes and it still was a bit watery when you cut into it. Next time I may decrease the amount of sugar by a Tbs or two. Made for Spring PAC 2010.

I thought this would be a bomb at my house but I decided to try it anyway. The hubby doesn't really like corn but loved this. Made it according to the recipe except for one change. I added some shredded cheese to the mixture. It had a great flavor and a real change from buttered corn. Give it a try you may be surprised. Thank you CarolJ for posting this recipe. I will have this again.

Another winner CarrolJ! Hubby says this is tied for his #1 favorite corn - high praise from him. Easy to make, slightly sweet, good texture. Next time I might add some chopped pimentos for some extra color. Thanks for sharing.
