Great, easy recipe...love sweet potatoes and this is a great way to enjoy them...threw two in the oven (along with a pork chop -prepped with a similar marinade) for mr.free-free-; he had them as a side and for me they were the star dish)... yummy, filling, and satisfying ...cooked them at 350 for 1 hour with the chop...love when I can combine a veggie and meat meal together in perfect harmony :) and please everyone ...made playing "I Recommend Tag" - as you can see this is a HIGHLY RECOMMENDED RECIPE - Thanks KITTENCAL!!!
I thought these were soooo good! I love sweet potatoes...unfortunately my fiance doesn't. Well, he ate these up and said that he would eat them again! LOL That's a pretty good compliment from him! I used one very large sweet potato, but used the same amounts of spices that are in the recipe. Very spicy! Yum! Thanks so much.
Fantastic! What flavor - rich and sweet and spicy. I scaled down to make only 1 potato since it was only for me, but I wish I had made more...I could have made a meal out of these! Thanks for posting a wonderful recipe I will use again and again!
Excellent. We enjoyed this for dinner tonight. I used one very large sweet potato, half of the butter and brown sugar. I used 1 teaspoon sea salt and used the full 1 teaspoon chili powder and 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper. It was perfect. Made for Kittencal Cook-a-thon.
Great recipe! I made one change, I used McCormick Chipotle Chile pepper instead of cayenne pepper. It added a delightful smokiness with a great kick. Yummy! Thanks!
I really liked this, but cheated a little. I was short on time so cooked the potatos in the microwave and then added the rest of the ingredients and reheated a little. Oh I also used Splenda brown sugar as we are trying to cut our sugar intake. Thanks for such a good recipe
I wanted to try this before Thanksgiving. Needless to say it was fantastic. I don't know if it added anything to this but I added about 3 tbsp. honey too. I love the flavor of honey and chili powder together. Thanks Kitten for another winner.
Great flavor! I kept an eye on them and took them out when they were slightly harder than I'd let a regular cooked potato be.
Such an easy recipe with wonderful flavor. I like this much better than candied sweet potatos we have on the holidays.
