What great tasting pickles! I am not all that fond of Dill pickles and have had a quart staring at me for over a year so I cut this recipe back to 1 quart ( used 3/4 oz of Tabasco and 1 cup sugar).I do like spicy. I could not believe how tasty these were after only one night in the fridge. The flavor is sweet but perky. Thanks Farmwife for a simple, great recipe

I made this using a 1 1/2 pint jar of hamburger dill slices. I scaled the amounts back appropriately & added a pinch of pickling spice. I was rewarded with a batch of tasty pickles. I do like my sweet pickles hot so next time I will add more hot sauce & perhaps some red pepper flakes to up the heat factor. Thanks for a nice recipe!

easy to prepare......i used with covered batter to deep fry.......exceptional taste with just a hint of "hot".....but addictive due to the dill & spice.

Had to make these with Kosher dills, that was the only way I could get gallon jars of them. Made them up and then re-packaged them in smaller jars to give with our annual goodie assortment for Christmas! Have already received many requests for them to join the "permanent" ranks. Thanx for such an easy treat! Added a few hot pepper flakes to some of the jars, for the real heat seekers! Next year will be buying 3 gallons to work with!
