This salad dressing is similar to one that I used to eat when I lived in Hawaii. It's excellent served on spinach leaves.
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1⁄4 medium onion, grated
- 1⁄2 cup vegetable oil
- 1⁄3 cup catsup
- 1⁄4 cup red wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- Combind ingredients in a jar.
- Place lid on jar and shake well.
- Shake dressing before use.
This is a wonderful dressing to serve with spinach salad! Just the right combination of sweet and tangy, very easy to make. I served it for a company dinner one night, and the next night everyone requested a repeat performance. We have a new favorite! Thanks, Beckas!
This is a great tasting salad dressing. It's a perfect blend of sweet and sour. The hint of sesame makes this dressing extraordinary.
This was way too sweet for my taste.
