Sweet and Sour Pork

"I kind of threw this together one night for a quick supper and what a nice surprise it turned out to be. The whole family loved the spices and gobbled it up. You can adjust the heat to accommodate your tastes. Served it with rice."

  • Have the butcher cut up the meat into 1 inch cubes or cut it up yourself. Fry the pork in 1 tablespoon of oil over med to high heat until nicely browned, about 15 minutes. Dice up the celery, onion,& green pepper into nice sized pieces.
  • Add in chopped celery, onion the mushrooms and fry for another 5 - 10 minutes or until soft. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil for 15 minutes stirring often. Cover and simmer for 20 - 30 minutes or until you can't take the awesome smell anymore -- serve with rice and enjoy.
