Directions

  1. Meatballs: Combine ground beef, bread crumbs, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Form into 32 meatballs.
  4. Heat oil in a large skillet.
  5. Add meatballs.
  6. Turn to brown on all sides.
  7. Cover and cook until done, stirring occasionally.
  8. Remove meatballs and drain fat from skillet.
  9. Sauce: Stir together sugar and cornstarch.
  10. Add vinegar, water, soy sauce, and ketchup.
  11. Add to skillet.
  12. Cook and stir until clear and thickened.
  13. Add meatballs.
  14. Heat through.

my pickiest eater just loved this! i cut the sugar down to 1/2 c, used cider vinegar, and used turkey instead of beef for her. she says they are the best meatballs she's ever had! thanks mae, this is now in my permanent file:)
