This has been a family favorite since I was in high school. We've used it as an appetizer, and as a picnic main dish, where it goes especially well with dilled potato salad. The only difference is that our recipe calls for chili sauce in place of the ketchup.

We loved these!! Very simple, we served it with steamed rice. I put 2 pounds of frozen meatballs in the crock pot and stirred in the sauce. Cooked on low it was done in about 4 hours.

I took these to a little "happy hour" and everyone loved them and asked for the recipe! I used frozen meatballs because I was short on time, and can't wait to make this sauce again using my own meatball recipe. Thank you so much for sharing this, Karenm3! This is a winner!!!!
