My oldest friend gave me this simple and delectable cookie recipe in 1962, and I make it every year for the Christmas season. The cookies are not as heavy as many butter cookies. Light and delicious.
- Mix ingredients well, chill until dough is firm.
- Press cookies through a cookie press or roll out into small balls, then flatten into 1 inch rounds.
- Place cookies on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees until they start to look a bit browned, about ten minutes or so.
This is an easy and good recipe .I used my cookie press for these cookies. I always put my cookie sheets in freezer, the dough sticks better to the cold baking sheet. Once totally cooled store in air tight container.
