Delicious! What a wonderful mix of flavors. I added potatoes and carrots an hour before it was done. My husband loved it but even more surprisingly, my non-meat loving kid ate her plate clean! Thanks. This will be going in my family faves.
Beautiful! The flavours permeated the meat so well - I can't remember enjoying beef as much as tonight! Thank you for a superb recipe!
I was a little wary of the spices used in this because I've never had them with beef. But wow! This was reaaly good. The next time I make it, I'll have to triple the recipe and freeze the leftovers. This one is a keeper! Thanx for sharing!
Have not even had it yet, but I can tell you my house smells so awesome, like Christmas!!! I can't wait to try it. I put the olive oil in my frying pan and browned it, I know that's where all the flavor is going to come from. I will be back to write my review on taste ?
This recipe has been in my family for over 40 years. As I don't like pork roast its great with beef and my kids love it too as they are picky eaters. The only difference is we use Red Wine Vinegar in ours.
FINGER LICKIN' GOOD...this roast was absolutely delicious. Everyone couldn't get enough of it. The roast was melt in your mouth and the flavor was fantastic. Very easy to make...will definitely be a keeper in my family as it has already been requested for another meal!
This was a very good recipe. A great weeknight meal for when I have to work all day. I am not a big fan of pot roast in general, but this was very different. The sauce was delicious and the meat was too! I did not brown the meat before putting it in the crockpot, but it turned out great. The thing I liked most about this recipe is that it was made out of ingredients the I normally have on hand.
A friend gave me this recipe about 30 years ago and we have been making it ever since. The meat is succulent and the gravy is great over mashed potatoes.......... thanks for posting!
I found the cider vinegar version a little strong and the dish too sweet overall. Unfortunately kids refused to eat it. I may have messed up by not cooking it with the vent open, but most pressure cookers won't time down until pressure is reached.
