I didn't care for the taste of these. I tried another recipe made with ground turkey and they were preferred over these.

Real deal! Cardamom, and allspice adds traditional balance. I used jarred ground ginger and white onion. Basic, simple, true. Thanks.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this recipe. We are both very picky eaters so finding something we like is a challenge. We will definately make again.

These were amazing! Solid two thumbs up from the whole clan, including me. I took Rita's advice and baked them in the oven, scraped the "yumminess" into my skillet and incorprated it into the gravy. I also made a special trip to World Market and bought a bottle of Lingonberry Preserves and I will tell you, do NOT eat these without it! It made the whole recipe just smashing. My 16 year old daughter took a few bites and said "I think I'm in love." Funny. Thanks for a GREAT ONE!!! ~~Messy44

My family loved these. I took another reviewer advice and cooked them in the oven and then scraped up all the bits and pieces off the pan. I also used skim milk in place of the cream. These were not hard to make and my kids loved them. what more could I ask for. Thanks for the recipe.

The aroma from the meatballs frying was to die for! I've never made Swedish meatballs before and these really taste good. We have a Swedish meatball dinner at church every fall but they don't smell or taste like these. I say these are better. All went well until I added the cream into the hot beef stock. It curdled for some reason. So I'll just have to work on that nest time I make this. I took a photo without the sauce on in the background you will see my cast iron Ebelskiver pan that I used to make Blueberry-Ebelskiver - Æbelskiver (Danish Filled Pancake) last week. I made this for ZWT III 2007 - Family Pick

Very GOOD! I made these cutting down the calories from fat! I made 1/2 the recipe using the full amount of spices. Low fat milk. Used lean meat and I baked the meatballs on a very lightly oiled sheet pan at 425 degrees for 15 minutes. Drained the fat and discarded and scraped the yumminess from the pan with the stock to add the cream sauce that I made stove top. Rich and creamy. Thanks

This is really good. The meatballs were bigger than I was used to making, but they cooked well. The gravy was excellent. This dish really needs rice or bread or something to sop up the gravy - too good to waste! My husband asked if the meatballs were homemade (because they were so much bigger than I usually make), and when I said no, of course not! :), he said that they tasted too good for storebought, nice seasoning and great flavor. Wonderful dinner, thank you!

I'm always a fan of easy recipes. I formed the meatballs the night before so when I got home from work I only had to cook them and make the sauce! Kids loved them too which always earns an extra star!

okay! I agree. Best Swedish meatball recipe ever! I increased the cardamom a bit because I really wanted to get the full experience for ZWT. The gravy was completely luxurious and complemented the flavor of the meatballs instead of competing with them. Thanks for sharing!
