Ingredients Nutrition

  • 12 cup fine dry breadcrumb
  • 12 cup light cream
  • 12 cup water
  • 1 lb ground chuck
  • 1 12 teaspoons salt
  • 12 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 2 tablespoons onions, chopped (and-or 2 crushed garlic cloves)
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons butter

Directions

  1. Mix the breadcrumbs, cream and water.
  2. Set aside for 5 minutes.
  3. Mix the beef, salt, allspice and onion. Gradually add the breadcrumbs, then the egg. Blend well.
  4. Shape into balls.
  5. Heat part of the butter in a skillet.
  6. Add 10 to 15 meatballs.
  7. Fry over moderate heat until the meatballs are browned and cooked through.
  8. Transfer to a serving dish and keep hot while frying the remaining meatballs.
