Can be served over ice cream, cheesecake or whatever you desire. I used splenda and it was fantastic. From: Allrecipes
- Cut about 1/3 of the strawberries in half.
- In a saucepan over medium high heat, combine strawverries, sugar and vanilla.
- Cook, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- In a blender, puree about 1/2 of sauce, then mix back into remainder.
- Store in refrigerator.
Yummy! I skipped the blender part, and just chopped up frozen strawberries into quarters, and cooked them down till they were the right consistancy. Thanks!
Winner, winner! Simple, but oh, soooo good. So many possibilities to use this yummy topping.
I was just about to give in and make my pancakes with strawberry syrup from the store ( dont like maple) and then I found this recipe. Easy, simple, and delicious! Now I can have fruit topped pancakes without going to IHOP. Thanks!
