      This recipe is AWESOME!!! No substitutes needed! I served these to picky waffle eaters and non-waffle eaters (yes there is such a thing!) and everyone loved them! I would make them everyday if I wasn't trying to watch my waist.

      p.s. freezing extras and toasting them is good as well!

      I made these waffles for my kids this morning and based on the description by the recipe author, thought they would be good. They were not. I wish I would have read the first review and at least tried some of their substitutions.

      Awesome! We loved this waffle recipe. We tweaked it a little by using unbleached flour instead of whole wheat pastry, decreased the baking powder from 3 Tablespoons to 3 teaspoons and we omitted the nutmeg and opted for organic sugar. As for the wet ingredients we used rice milk. We then opted to use 1/4 c. melted butter and 2 Tbsp. coconut oil. THESE WERE DELICIOUS. Thanks so much for the recipe. It's not easy to find recipes with no eggs that taste great!
