Great dish! I doubled the Italian seasonings and garlic. It didn't have as much sauce as I would have expected, but the taste was fantastic! Definitely something I'd make again.

This was OK. My kids tasted it and wouldn't eat more, and they normally love anything with tomatoes. Thanks anyway!

I made as posted. I drained the tomatoes and mushrooms thoroughly while I sauteed the onions and meat. The meat was tender. This is an excellent recipe for busy people. Thanks for sharing. Made for Everyday is a Holiday tag,

This was a great one pot meal! I realised when I went to make it calls for canned mushrooms that you can drain and in Australia they are mostly pureed. That still worked well but obviously made the sauce a little thinner than it would have been, but the extra sauce was terrific soaked up with some mashed potato. Steak came out super tender and it's a recipe with plenty of scope for variations.

I didn't have a gravy like in the photo. Maybe I should have done something for it, maybe add cornstarch. Maybe I should have drain the cans of tomatoes. I used fresh mushrooms. Maybe this made too much juices. I cooked it 1 hour and the meat was not tender like I thought it would be. My fault. Next time I'll check before. Thanks Sally :) Made for Zaar Star Game.

Such a comfort dish, Sally!! No wonder your DH loves this! It's soooo tender with a leeetle tang from the Worchestershire. Sorry, forgot the mushrooms. Mashed taters are a must! Made for Comfort Foods! in Cooking Photos.

I made this using sirloin steaks I had int he freezer. This was very flavourful & I really enjoyed. My fuss-pot DH wasn't too keen on it though. My only complaint was that the meat wasn't as tender as I had hoped, I did use a different meat cut than specified though so maybe that's where I went wrong. A very flavourful dish though & simple to put together.

I loved the ease of this recipe even though I used "fresh" mushrooms and had to slice them, etc. Hubby didn't care for all the tomatoes, but then he feels that way about all tomatoes. I thought it was a wonderful, quick and easy "after work" meal. Served over re-heated mashed potatoes. Reminded me of something Mom used to make. Congrats on your win and I WILL be making this again.

This was delicious and so easy to make. I'm glad I tried this recipe as the one I normally use takes about 2 hours to make. This was so much faster! Made for ZWTIII

This was great! I Think that next time i might add a little red wine to deglaze the pan a bit. It was very tender as it promised. I just served it with white rice and pan fried broccoli I tried from another member.

Great recipe! I halved it and prepared it in a cast iron skillet. I like the idea that it's a one pot meal and even better, I liked the ease of preparation and the flavor. This was perfect after a long day at work. After a little prep, the oven does the work. Thanks Ms Sally!

This recipe is perfectly named. The top round I used was fork tender and the sauce very well flavored. I made a two serving size and while it did not burn or stick it was dry at the end of the cooking time. This was my fault for not checking it during it's time in the oven and a bit of water added and stirred in made it saved the dish. I used 1/2 the ask for amount of Worcestershire because DH doesn't like it but with the veggies, garlic and Italian herbs it didn't lack for flavor.

This delicious recipe truly lives up to its name in tenderness. I could pierce it with my baby's plastic, safety fork. And the flavor was incredible. So rich! And yet lively and bright -- not heavy at all. I did it in a cast iron pan with a little olive oil for browning and substituted about 1 tsp of Kitchen Bouquet for the Worchestershire sauce because I'd run out.
