We love popcorn at our house and not the stuff that comes in a microwavable bag. We use a hot air popcorn popper and then have fun with our flavors. This recipe is soo good, especially if you are a garlic lover. I crave this, I do! Sometimes I will throw in some freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Mmmm. From Cooks Illustrated.
- Add minced garlic cloves to the butter that has been melted in a skillet(I cheat and do this in the microwave),.
- Saute until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Toss with hot popcorn.
The only problem I had was that 4 tbsp of butter wasn't quite enough to spread through my popcorn, since I don't have one of those popper things that distributes the butter evenly. Added some olive oil since I didn't feel like melting more butter, and it's great. Also, I think 4 cloves of garlic is just a starting point. More garlic never hurts.
One of my new favorite ways of dressing up popcorn. The butter was plenty for me. The fresh garlic is so good in this and it seems simple, but the salt and pepper really contribute to the flavor too.
I took the tip from another reviewer and dried it in the oven a bit.Great popcorn recipe! Thanks for sharing.
