Yet another recipe I found in the Gooseberry catalog. Would be good served with mashed potatoes or even garlic mashed potatoes,
- 3 1⁄2 lbs beef roast
- 1 (1 1/3 ounce) package onion soup mix
- 26 ounces cream of mushroom soup
- 1 2⁄3 cups water
- Place pot roast in slow cooker; sprinkle with soup mix. Pour soup over the top; add water. Cover and cook on low setting for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours.
Smelled wonderful, the meat was tasty with the gravy but it was a bit dry without....
This was a easy and delicious way to prepare a roast. I popped the frozen roast into my crockpot at 4:30am on low and when I got home around 3 pm the meat was melt in your mounth tender and the house smelled wonderful. I strained out the juice/gravy and thickened it. I served this with fluffy baked potatoes and steamed asparagus. Great meal and so little effort on my part thanks to you. Thanks for sharing. *Made for Spring PAC 2009*
