    Katrina's Note:

I came up with this recipe one day when I was wanting homemade cookies but without all the fuss. They are kinda "cakey" but still very good, especially when they first come out of the oven!!

I liked these. The key is to use a good quality cake mix that has a flavor that you like. They were perfect for an afternoon baking project for my DD 9, who can do the whole thing by herself.

This is a fast and easy recipe and is great if you are short on time. These should get 5 stars if I was rating them solely on how easy they are to make. However, in my opinion, these cookies lack in taste. I made these exactly as directed and they baked up fine. Other recipes might be more effort but the end result is worth it for me.

These cookies are great! The ingredients are cheap and readily available, and the directions couldn't be easier. The cookies themselves are delicious. My wife and I baked them for our Sunday School class and they were (almost) instantly devoured.

You can substitute nearly any flavor of cake mix or baking chips to make different kinds of cookies. Some suggestions: banana cake and walnuts, red velvet cake and pistachios, and (my personal favorite) chocolate cake and peanut butter chips.
