Toss carrots and orange juice with honey and walnuts to savor california crops. This recipe comes from our local Save Mart Supermarket.
- 1 lb baby carrots
- 1⁄2 cup orange juice
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1⁄3 cup chopped walnuts
- Place carrots in saucepan with small amount of water, cook until just tender crisp, (I like to steam them).
- Stir in orange juice,butter, honey, and cornstarch mixed with the water.
- heat stirring, until thickened, Sprinkle with walnuts, Serve.
Really good glazed carrot recipe. The proportions of ingredients are perfect and the walnuts provided a really nice textural contrast (and delicious crunch) at the end. A keeper!
