AMAZING!!!! MAKE THIS BREAD!!!! So my hubby said this is one of the best recipes I have ever made and it is definitely the best thing that has ever come out of my breadmaker!!!! So kudos to you! We actually ate half the loaf last night (eeks. . .it was so addictive). I did make a few changes: acorn squash instead of sweet potatoes, expired yeast (I am embarrassed to say but it worked), evened out the buttermilk and water instead of 1/4 and 3/4, instead of 2 kinds of raisins I used regular raisins and dried cranberries, then I added 2 Tbsp of Katzen's amazing Harvest Grain Blend for Bread. I also accidentally cooked it on basic bread setting. UPDATE: This bread was soft yet hearty on day one. A little tough on day two, so we enjoyed it as toast which completely revived it. I then turned it into French Toast later in the week for "breakfast for dinner" night with some fried eggs. . .yummy!

Not much I can add to what your previous reviewers have already said - yes a winner at our house too. The ingredients intrigued me making it a must make - all came together to make for a great tasting bread with wonderful texture. Super easy to make. Didn't have the buckwheat flour - subbed with whole wheat which worked well for me. Great ending to our supper soup on a cold Saskatchewan day back in February. Awesome toasted. Thank you Susie D! Into my Bread Cookbook for this one.

What can I say that hasnt been said? Fantastic bread I was surprised how it turned out and even more pleasantly surprised at the wonderful taste and texture. This is one of my PAC 07 choices. Thanks Susie!

Susie D this bread rocks. Very easy to make, lovely flavour, wonderful texture, tastes amazing. I'm allergic to buckwheat so I left it out, the bread was wonderful toasted with sweet butter. It was so good, that I didn't bother to make the rest of the meal that I had planned for breakfast. We ate the whole loaf at one sitting. You have heard the expression, let them eat cake. I say let them eat BREAD. Thanks so much for sharing.

Very good. This bread has a wonderful flavor and lovely texture. For taste, it is definitely a 5 stars in my book. I did encounter one slight problem with the dough rising too high too soon - it almost spilled over the sides and had hit the top of my machine, and there was still 1 1/2 hours left on the machine cycle. I gently poked down the dough a slightly, releasing a bit of the air, and just watched it carefully. Despite this, the bread did come out great and I would absolutely make this again. I might try using the regular white bread setting instead (which has a far shorter rising time) to see if that will solve the problem.

This was a delightful bread with an interesting texture and great flavour. I am not usually fond of buckwheat flour, but there was not enough of it in this that I could taste it. For a breadmaker bread it was very good. Thanks!
