directions

  • Preheat oven to 350 deg F.
  • Place all the ingredients into a large bowl. Optional: add in 1 c chopped nuts.
  • Mix at medium speed for 3 minutes.
  • Spread into a 9x13" pan.
  • Place into the oven for 30 to 40 minutes.
  • While baking, share the batter bowl with the kids (this is the best part!).
  • Brownies will come out of the pan easier when they have cooled. I can't usually wait that long though!
  • Cut into 32 small squares (or 12 big ones and serve with ice cream).

  1. I have been planning to make this recipe for, well, too long and finally I have :). It was a big hit here, especially with the boys of course! I increased the cocoa to just over a cup as we're huge chocolate fans here and they really enjoyed following step #6 :D. I made the recipe into 24 2-bite brownies in my mini-muffin pan and an additional 9 slightly bigger muffins for ease of transport in school lunches :). I think next time I'll use brown sugar rather than granulated and melted butter in place of the oil, just a personal preference thing. Thanks so much for posting your brownie recipe Sunny (even though it's been "posted" on my fridge since a certain Christmas card arrived in 2009 LOL). Made and enjoyed for PAC Spring 2011 :)
