I made this for a party. It was every bit as beautiful as the picture! It is more than a cake ~ it is a centerpiece. Thank you for the clever idea!

loved how easy and presentable it is.

Sign in or create an accountThis is very pretty. I used Hershey's kisses instead of chocolate chips and Twinkies for the petals. The kids ate the petals and we cut up the cake for the adults.

Great ideas! I used a round Boston Cream pie from Walmart, put in the chocolate chips and rolls, then decorated around it with fall flowers they had on sale. It looked great! Thanks for sharing.

Very simple to put together and made a great dessert centerpiece for our celebration dinner tonight! Thanks for the great idea. Oh - I could only find one box of those boston cream rolls so my flower was a little scarce in petals so I won't post the picture but I took one for the May Flower Challenge in Photo Tag May 2008

This was a simple recipe and tasted good but I couldn't find those boston cream rolls ANYWHERE so I ended up using Twinkies! The kids gobbled them up and the rest of my family ate the cake! Really pretty cake!!

Made this for my family reunion this past weekend, and it was pretty awesome. My young (7-year-old twins and 4-year-old sister) nieces were even able to get in on the action by helping me put the chocolate chips on top, so we called it the cake "we" made. For my next trick--making the sunFLOWER cake into a sunSHINE cake by using yellow cake & frosting with Little Debbie Lemon Meringue rolls. Thanks for a terrifically easy and tasty recipe sure to impress!!
