Cooking Light. May 2003.
- 1 1⁄2 cups pitted sweet cherries
- 1⁄2 cup cabernet sauvignon wine or 1⁄2 cup dry red wine
- 1⁄4 cup cherry preserves
- 1 tablespoon Amaretto (almond-flavored liqueur)
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 cups low-fat vanilla frozen yogurt
- Combine first 3 ingredients in a small saucepan, and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
- Stir in liqueur and lemon juice. Serve warm over yogurt.
