I did use a different filling recipe (my cherry pie recipe, but I just didn't feel like making pie crust) and put it in the oven until bubbling before adding the dumplings, so this review is just for the dumplings--but what a great biscuit top for a cobbler! I made them as drop biscuits on the cobbler and they were so super easy and just fantastic! Thank you for the great recipe!

I am just as surprised that I am only the second one reviewing this great recipe - it was a wonderful way to make cobbler! I made half the quantities as there were only two of us. I used fresh berries from my garden - gooseberries, blackcurrants, raspberries and strawberries......oh yes - and a few redcurrants! I did not have enough cream cheese, so I added a little milk to make it up - the oats were a GREAT addition to this! I also rolled my dumplings and stamped them out - probably due to the fact that I ran out of cream cheese! Tangy - full of colour and flavour - another hit for Caro's AK kitchen......bravo ma leeetle petits pois! FT:-) Oooops - made for the July Cobblers event in the PF!

This is a great cobbler! Am surprised I'm the first one reviewing it! I used a mix of frozen berries [raspberries, blueberries & marionberries], then followed the recipe right down the line! I'm sure any berries would have made a nice cobbler, but this combo [I'd bought at Costco to use in smoothies!] was VERY nice tasting! Thanks for this great keeper!
