Once made these can be stored in a jar for upto a week. They are ideal for finishing cakes or even to snack on.
- Line a baking sheet with non stick paper.
- tip the larger quantity of sugar into a heavy based pan and add 2 tbsp water. Heat gently until it dissolves and then boil until it turns golden.
- Remove from heat and stir in walnuts and the rest of the sugar, quickly spoon the mix onto the tray trying to seperate them as best you can.
- Leave to cool and store in an airtight container.
