Once made these can be stored in a jar for upto a week. They are ideal for finishing cakes or even to snack on.

Directions

  1. Line a baking sheet with non stick paper.
  2. tip the larger quantity of sugar into a heavy based pan and add 2 tbsp water. Heat gently until it dissolves and then boil until it turns golden.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in walnuts and the rest of the sugar, quickly spoon the mix onto the tray trying to seperate them as best you can.
  4. Leave to cool and store in an airtight container.
