These sweet peanuts are hard to leave alone!
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 3⁄4 cup cold water
- 1 tablespoon maple flavoring
- 4 1⁄2 cups Spanish peanuts, with skin
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- In large saucepan, combine sugar, water, maple flavoring and peanuts.
- Cook and stir over medium heat for 20 minutes, until almost all the liquid is absorbed.
- Spread into a greased 15x10 inch sheet.
- Sprinkle with salt.
- Bake at 350* for 25 minutes, stirring a few times.
- Cool completely.
