Directions

  1. Cream shortening, sugar, egg, and molasses.
  2. Mix other ingredients in separate bowl.
  3. Add molasses mixture.
  4. Roll into balls.
  5. Roll in (additional) sugar.
  6. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
  7. DO NOT press down.
  8. Bake at 350°F for 8-10 minutes.
