I usually make these during the holidays, but can be made when ever. Great for snacking or sprinkled on a salad.
- 4 cups halved pecans or 4 cups walnuts
- 1 cup sugar or 1 cup Splenda sugar substitute
- 5 teaspoons water
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- In a large non-stick skillet, combine ingredients except nuts.
- Add nuts and stir to coat.
- Spread in one layer on waxed paper to dry.
- Dry completely before storing.
- Keep in air tight container.
