Found this recipe in an old cookbook that I bought at an aution.


  1. In a large saucepan cook sugar snap peas in boiling water about 1 minute or until crisp-tender, drain.
  2. Add butter and lemon peel, toss to mix. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve immediately. Garnish with fresh mint, if desired.

I love sugar snap peas, but had never made them before. This recipe was very fast and easy to make and the sugar snap peas were absolutely delicious. I cut the recipe in half and added about 1/2 teaspoon of sugar to give them a little more sweetness. I will be making these often. Thanks for sharing such a great and easy recipe, 4-H Mom.
