Directions

  1. Mix the egg white, brown sugar and vanilla together.
  2. Fold in whole pecans.
  3. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 250 degrees for 30 minutes.
  4. Store in an air tight container.

What a treat! I have never made sugared pecans before and this sounded so easy I thought I would try it. The only trouble I had was I either greased the pan to much or didn't bake them quite long enough (they were still a little sticky on the bottom). Nevertheless, DH and I ate most of them before I could put them on a salad. Definately will try this again. Thank you for a delicious treat. Made for Zaar Alphabet Soup Tag game.

Tasted good, but not the best looking...still tasted great on a salad with pears and feta. I doubled the recipe and put on very large baking sheet, but did not increase time. Nuts were not as crunchy as I hoped, but still good. Next time, I will increase cooking time slightly.

My DMIL didn't have any white sugar left, after Christmas, and I wanted pecans for a post-Christmas, non-turkey salad, so I made these. They tasted like tiny pralines, and they were great, on my apple and feta salad! We only had pecan pieces, but I stirred them, frequently, and they cooked perfectly! Thanks!
