- 1 1⁄2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
- 1 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1⁄4 cups sugar
- 1⁄4 cup reduced-fat cream cheese
- 1 cup butter
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, combine flours, baking powder and soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter, cream cheese, and sugar for 2-3 minutes.
- Add vanilla and egg to creamed mixture.
- Add the flour in about 3 batches and mix on low speed until well blended.
- Make one tablespoon sized cookies on the parchment and bake for about 10 minutes.
