Worked great and dried fast (which was an added bonus!). I did have to double the milk to get the right consistency (which is why it lost a star). Next time I will also double the recipe cause it didn't make enough for our one batch of sugar cookies. Thank you for posting!

Worked great for us! We used almond milk, and rice syrup. If I can come up with a replacement for the powdered sugar I will let you know. Wish I could find healthier food coloring.

LOVE! Have always "winged it" but am glad to have an actual recipe for future consistency (pun intended). Use with Roll-Out Cookies or Roll-Out Cookies - Chocolatey.

Not overly impressed, did not shine up as stated, and did not flow onto cookies. Taste was ok.

I used this recipe yesterday to ice some sugar cookies for a baby shower I was hosting...I decided to make them last minute and this worked perfect because it hardened quickly making it easy for me to stack them. I was worried about the amount it made but it iced 4 dozen cookies, which was enought. THanks for posting!

Smooth, shiny and sets perfectly. No need to pull out the mixer for these. The ingredients come together easily with a fork and some vigorous stirring.

Excellent!! The glaze is very smooth when it dries and has a nice shine to it. I wish we had this recipe many years ago, I'll never use another. My daughters had friends over and they had a grand time decorating cookies. Thank you for sharing your recipe. Made for *Zaar Chef Alphabet Soup 2009* game

Absolutely delicious!! Instead of adding the vanilla extract I added 1 teaspoon of freshly blended raspberries right out of the blender. so good!!

This is the perfect icing recipe! I absolutely LOVE the shine - it makes simple sugar cookies look elegant and "gourmet"! I also really liked the smooth texture and how easy it is to spread/apply this icing. This is a recipe I've already used multiple times and is definitely a keeper! Thanks, Junebug!

This recipe worked beautifully! We dipped our gingerbread people in the icing, added decorations, and it set up very nicely within a few hours. It takes color well, too.

I used this icing when I made Martha's Blue Ribbon Sugar Cookies - Christmas for my cookie trays for Christmas. They glaze is so good! The cookies looked so cute and the glaze tasted so delicious with it on top! I will use this recipe again whenever I need a good glaze!

This worked wonderfully. I love the way it dries shiny and stiff. I piped it out of a ZipLock sandwich baggie (cutting a very small piece off one of the bottom corners) which made for easy cleanup. I decorated gingerbread men with this and left the icing "snow" white. I will certainly use this recipe again!

Worked great, but tasted a little too much like sugar, so I added extra vanilla. Next time I might add a little almond extract. I have now used this recipe 3 times in the last 3 weeks :)

I halved this recipe into three separate bowls (half-sized recipe in each bowl) and this was a quick recipe to make. Found that I had to add quite a bit more moisture for it to be spreadable, but it's been pretty dry around here so maybe that's it. I used butter flavoring instead of vanilla and it was perfect on vanilla sugar cookies- thanks for the great recipe!

I was suspicious at the texture at first, but after letting it go in the mixer for a few minutes, it was perfect. I've never had a frosting set up perfectly on a cookie like this one. Thank you!
