From my pal Sue, who got it from someone else, who got it from someone else, and so on. You can use almost any fruit for this, though I prefer apples.

Directions

  1. Cream margarine and sugar.
  2. Add eggs, one at a time.
  3. Add the lemon stuff.
  4. Add the dry ingredients. Mix well.
  5. Grease a 9" round cake pan. Pour in batter. Top with fruit.
  6. Bake at 350F for 1 hour.
