A melt in you mouth fudge. It's very similar to maple candies.

The flavor is very good, but I had a very hard time preventing this from going grainy. I kept melting it back down (2 times) and adding a little more cream and corn syrup. It was a big hit on the Christmas platter. Very good with burnt almonds.

  1. Combine first 3 ingredients in a saucepan and heat, stirring, until boiling.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add remaining ingredients and mix.
  5. spread into ungreased 8x8 inch pan.
  6. Cool to room temerature and then cut into squares.
