LOVED THIS! I made Crockpot Pepsi Pot Roast and it was perfect! I didn't have dried beef bouillon granules so I used 2 Tbsp. of Beef Better than Bouillon (paste), and added the rest of your ingredients to one can of cream of celery soup to make a paste. Place roast in crockpot, cover with soup mixture paste, and cover all with 1 16 oz bottle of REGULAR Pepsi (or Coke). Cooked 6.5 hours on HIGH. THANK YOU!
It seems to have been pretty good.
I used this mixed into a casserole recipe and it tasted much like the pre-packaged mix. The true test will be how well this tastes as classic french onion dip.
Thank you, great recipe. I have used it 2 or 3 times and it tastes great. I'm always looking to replace those little packages of spices with their unrecognizable ingredients!
I use the dry onion soup mix in quite a few recipes, but my husband has to watch his sodium intake so I turned to Zaar and found this recipe. I used it in a beef and noodle recipe and was very pleased. I will be making a double batch and keep it handy for other recipes. Thanks, Carole in Orlando
I may never buy a package mix again!
Never buy onion soup mix, so when I wanted to try out #362014, this great recipe saved the day. Much much better than the store bought variety I'd say. I didn't have the granules, so just used one bouillon cube instead, seemed fine to me. Thanks!
Chef dee... you have a winner here.. I used it on roast beef and it was delicious. Soooooooo much better than that salty stuff in a package.. don't know how i've never seen your recipe before. ... nita
Used with Yummy Round Steak With Rich Gravy, #122903 and it worked perfectly. Thank you! I will use this often.
Nice substitute for the packaged stuff. I made and used 1/2 recipe for Kittencal's Salisbury Steak with Mushrooms and Onion Gravy #318998. I like that I can make it up ahead of time or as needed with spices on hand. Thanks for sharing.
