- 1 loaf French bread, cut horizontally lengthwise
- 1⁄4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine, softened
- 4 ounces swiss cheese, sliced
- 1⁄2 lb genoa salami, sliced
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 2 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1⁄2 lb cooked ham, thinly sliced
- 1 medium green bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1⁄4 cup creamy Italian dressing

Special Sauce
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sour cream
- 1⁄4 teaspoon prepared hot mustard
- 1⁄4 teaspoon prepared horseradish
- 1⁄2 teaspoon minced onion
- 1⁄2 teaspoon minced scallion
- 1⁄4 - 1⁄2 teaspoon fresh dill

Special Sauce:
- Add mayonnaise, sour cream, prepared hot mustard, prepared horseradish, minced scallions, chopped fresh dill to bowl. Mix well.

Assemble Sandwich:
- 1. Spread sauce on cut sides of bread slices.
- 2. Layer ham, roast beef, Genoa salami, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle slices, sliced onion, pepperoncini on one bread slice. Top with remaining slice. Secure with toothpicks.
