Stuffed Mushrooms

"I got this from an old Virginia Hospitality Cookbook that my Grandmother had. They are always a big hit for special occasions."

• Yields: 36 mushrooms
• Serves: 9

ingredients

• 36 small fresh mushrooms
• 1⁄2 medium onion
• 1⁄2 cup butter
• 2⁄3 cup dry breadcrumbs
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper

directions

1. Wash mushrooms, remove stems and save. Chop stems and saute with onions in butter for 10 minutes. Add remaining ingredients, and use mixture to stuff mushrooms. Broil 5-8 minutes.
