We really enjoyed these. I didn't do the mustard and sugar for the beans- I seasoned the way I usually do for pork & beans, with garlic and sauteed onions. But I loved the idea of baking the beans on the hot dogs, and melting the cheese- will definitely make these again. Thanks, tamelawak!

I made this recipe on July 21st.,2011 for mine and SO's dinner.I had some leftovers from Baked Beans and used those instead of the pork n' beans called for in the recipe.Instead of melting the cheese, I just added a bit to each dog before serving. With this dish, cole slaw was served. Thanks for posting a quick and easy recipe. So simple and good. I forgot the cheese until I had eaten half of the dog, lol. Thanks tamelawak for sharing. Made for Chef Alphabet Soup Tag.

Thanks to moan & groan over the best comfort food I chose this recipe to try. This recipe is not what you would expect this to come out. This was so easy to make. I would never had thought of cooking hot dogs this way. Love it! Thank you for sharing this recipe with us to try.
