Stuffed French Toast Casserole

"This is a great Christmas morning recipe, as it is quick and easy to repair. Serve with some fruit, and a side of crispy bacon or sausage links for a great holiday breakfast. Prep time does not include time spent in fridge overnight."

  1. With all the variations out there I know this recipie is my favorite. Was afraid i wouldn't be able to find it. Thanks Food.com

  2. Made this last Sunday and it was a hit! The best way for me to really know is when everyone goes back for seconds. My daughter even took some to a friend. I served with warm syrup, powdered sugar and warmed berries. Everyone just put on what they wanted. Definitely a brunch recipe to make again.

  3. This went over really well with my family! The recipe doesn't mention using a non-stick spray, but I highly reccommend it. I did increase the amount of nutmeg because my family loves nutmeg in their French Toast.

  4. I made this for Christmas brunch...threw in in the pan the night before no problem at all. Quick and easy and it was great. Especially with really good real maple syrup. I put a TON more cinnamon and a little more nutmeg in it because my family loves cinnamon. I thought it a little weird the chucks of cream cheese really didn't melt, but no one seemed to mind. Great recipe, definately a keeper.

  5. I made this over the holidays and my family loved it! It was great to be able to just pop it in the oven in the morning! The only thing that I would do different next time is to use less cream cheese, but that is just a personal preference. Great recipe!
