Stuffed Dates and Pecans

I had these at a congregation in Waco, TX and went home and prepared them myself! Used them for Rosh HaShanah and they were a hit! Tip: If the dates are too soft, put them in the freezer for two hours before you begin.


  1. Slice each date in half.
  2. Remove the pit of each date.
  3. Fill each date half with 1/2 teaspoon of cream cheese. (or as much or as little cream cheese as you desire! It's according to taste!).
  4. Place a pecan half on top of each cream cheese-filled date half.
  5. Refrigerate or serve immediately.
