These are sold ready-made where I live, and I love them! They are usually stuffed with almonds or cashews. Great combination! Sometimes they are rolled in sesame seeds as well. Thanks for posting!

I make stuffed dates for the Holidays, but instead of nuts, I use small marshmallows . Take one or 2 small mellows and stuff the date roll in sugar. MMMMMM

Like candy! I love all 3 ingredients so I was curious to have them combined. I loved them. I am wondering if my dates were a little dry though bc my coconut didn't stick well. Definitely deserves 5 stars!

We used to have this at Christmas when I was a child. I got to shell the walnuts so I naturally hated them! I never ever ate one. This year I decided to make them for my husband and, of course, he loves them.

Very good and simple recipe. I used powdered sugar to cover mine. Thanks for posting this recipe.

Doing this again because I guess I didn't mark the stars and this deserves 5 *!! Also goofed up on the name,Very nice Barb Gertz!! Don't know how I managed to goof up your name, sorry!! I did half with hazelnuts and half with wallnuts, just because that's what I had on hand. Rolled them in unsweetened fine coconut. They made a pretty and tasty addition to the cookie plate, but they disappeared very quickly, leaving only cookies on the plate and everyone asking for more of those date thingies!! (Shoulda made a double recipe) I will be making these again over the holidays, thanks for sharing!!
