This is very good; much better than the usual cream cheese- or peanut butter-stuffed celery. I used black olives in place of the green olives (just personal preference) and loved the addition of walnuts. Took these to a party and all were eaten in no time.

This recipe is a holiday tradition in our family, however ours is slightly different. No sour cream, add about 1/4 cup tomato juice, we use pecans instead of walnuts, and we also put fresh or dried parsley in the mix. Everyone thinks it sounds horrible, but then loves it once they try it! Also great on toast or English muffin.

We enjoyed this very much. The nuts gave it a nice crunch and the olives flavored it up nice. This will become a new tradition for the holidays!

Delicious and very creamy! I think that the next time I make them, I'd add (like one reviewer suggested) a little hot sauce. I made them for a potluck gathering, and then couldn't attend because we were snowed in. We have treats for a few days! By the way, I used canned ripe, green, unstuffed olives. Maybe the more snappy stuffed green olives with pimientos would lend more pizzazz to this recipe. This is certainly a keeper!

I made it with olives in the filling then sprinkled crushed nuts on top. Yummy! Thanks Mama!

These were not only easy to make, but very, very tasty and well received at a recent party I had. Thanks, Bobbie UPDATE: I just noticed my "stars" didn't show up. I meant to select 5 of them!!!! Hopefully they will now show up.

I gave this 5 stars. I love stuffed celery it's a great snack or party food. I have a recipe that I got from Recipes For Non Cooks. It says to add 1/2 tsp tabasco sauce. The rest is the same. I do not make my stuffed celery with walnuts. Thanks for posting a yummy recipe! Christine (internetnut)

Made these for our Super Bowl party. Very good! Found it was better after sitting in the fridge all night. The flavors blended. Will be making this again.

I have always loved the combination of green olives and cream cheese. I knew that I couldn't go wrong with these for a Super Bowl appy party. I combined the green olives, walnuts and cream cheese the night before and spread into the celery the day of the party. Even among the kids at the party, these won out over the traditional cheese stuffed celery.

this was pretty good, better after i added a little salt and pepper to the mix. it lacked a little flavor and after a while of sitting tended to get soggy.. even though i thouroughly dried the celery stalks. i might toast the walnuts too to bring out more of thier flavor. and maybe added somthing spicy like a dash of hot sauce. they were a fun alternate to other celery creations but not a real big hit with my party.
