Fresh peppers with flavorful meat filling, easy recipe.
- 6 bell peppers
- 1 lb ground round
- 1 lb spicy sausage
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 2 (10 3/4 ounce) cans tomato soup (2-3)
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Cut off tops of peppers remove seeds and ribs. Chop up tops and add to beef and sausage, brown meat adding seasonings to taste.
- Meanwhile cook rice add to meat mixture. Add 1/2- 1 can tomato soup to meat/rice mixture.
- Stuff meat/rice mixture into peppers and place in large pot add diluted soup 1-2 cans with 1-2 cans of water pour around peppers. On medium heat bring to a simmer. Simmer 45 minutes to 1 hour or until peppers are to your desired doneness.
