Since I have 2 teenage kids, I adjusted the recipe for them, with the rum, but used the rum for the DS and I. For the kids, I replaced the rum with some softened honey mixed with a tad of brown sugar, and for us, I used a tablespoon of rum. The rum worked out better, as for the honey, definately had to be diluted a bitdue to the thickness of the honey. I am only reviewig this, and judging this on the recipe posted with the rum though. The raisins worked out well, and we enjoyed this dessert as posted (DS and I). Very nice and quick. Made for your Football Pool win.people found this review Helpful. Not a bad snack. It had a good flavor but to me the texture was a little rough for my liking. With the kids it was a hit or miss as 3 of my kids liked them as the other 3 said they were nasty so next time I will use less rum and add something a little sweet. Made for football pool 2012. This was a really nice treat, with a tropical touch to chase away the blues that seem to be looming over our heads with the streak of cold, snowy weather we've had lately. I thought the rum was a tad too strong though, so I will cut that in half the next time I make this. But otherwise, it's a nice dessert that goes together rather quickly.
