This was good. I used sliced of sponge cake, because I couldn't find ladyfingers. I cut back on the Grand Marnier and orange juice, because I didn't want to soak the cake, just drizzle it. The other significant thing I did differently was to only make 1/2 the amount of mascarpone cream. I used the full amount of strawberries, but half of the mascarpone, egg, vanilla and sugar. It seemed to work out fine. In fact, I think if I used the full amount, it would have been far more than I would have liked.
