    Ingredients:

    Directions:

      In a bowl place the sliced strawberries, sugar and vodka; and let them macerate for an hour stirring every once in a while.
    2. 2
      In the bowl of a food processor pulse together the strawberries and their liquid with the sour cream, heavy cream and lemon juice and process until it has a few chunks but is mainly smooth.

      Freeze in your ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's directions.

      This was one of the best batches of ice cream I have ever made. Full disclosure- I omitted the vodka because A. I was sharing with the kids and B. What good is 1 T. of vodka anyway?

      The best strawberry ice cream I have ever tasted. I am in love. It's not too sweet and it leaves you wanting more. A Thank you for sharing a great easy to make recipe.

      I have now made approximately 5 different ice recipes with my first/new ice cream maker this year. This recipe is our favorite. The sour cream gives a tang that is so creamy. It definitely makes a quart not a pint. Be prepared to freeze more. However it will probably be eaten up in a day and a half.
