This recipe is from the "Salsa Lovers Cookbook." The recipe is being posted for the strawberry swap. This would be wonderful over chocolate or vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 lb strawberry (fresh or frozen)
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 12 cup cream
  • 12 cup orange-flavored liqueur


  1. Place all ingredients in blender.
  2. Mix on medium speed until desired consistency.

We really enjoyed this over angelfood cake with a scoop of vanilla ice cream last night.I used Splenda and the fat-free half and half and pulsed it in the blender to make a fairly chunky sauce. The orange liqueur gave it a very nice "grown up" flavor! Thanks for posting this!
