Strawberry Pizza

"I'm always looking for new ways to use strawberries. We grow a lot of them and it's our favorite fruit. This is a very good way to use them!!"

  • Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  • Beat in egg and extracts.
  • Combine dry ingredients.
  • Add to creamed mixture.
  • Cover and chill 1 hour.
  • On floured surface, roll out dough to a 13 inch circle.
  • Place on ungreased pizza pan.
  • Build up edges.
  • Bake at 350* for 18 minutes.
  • In mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar.
  • Spread over cooled crust.
  • Arrange sliced strawberries on top.
  • In sacepan, mix sugar, cornstarch and crushed berries.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Cook and stir for 1-2 minutes, until thickened.
  • Cool for 10 minutes.
  • Spoon over sliced strawberries.
  • Chill until serving.

  1. This is best if you keep it in the refrigirator oernight, as it sort of compresses a little, allowing the flavors to meld. Delicious, and beautiful!!!!

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
