Excellent strawberry dessert that I can not wait to try when local berries are in season! Very easy to make and it reminded me of the strawberry pie at Abdow's Big Boy Restaurants (does anybody remember them?) but better and fresher! I made a no knead shortbread crust and served it with homemade whipped cream-absolutely delicious! Thanks Nimz! I made this for Spring PAC 2009.

Great, easy filling. I think three tablespoons of milk was way too much. I added some extra cream cheese to thicken it up. I also needed extra cornstarch. I used easy shortbread crust, #50974, as recommended by another reviewer. Highly recommend this crust! I would also recommend cooling ingredients before adding as the cream cheese will float to the top if the filling is too warm. Thanks for a great dessert my family really enjoyed.

This was fantastic, and sooo easy! I'm a vegetarian, so I didn't want to use gelatin, and this came out great! I didn't have a pre-made crust, so I used the crust recipe from Honey Sifnos Pie, which worked well taste-wise (although it was crumbly). A beautiful, simple dessert. I'll definitely make this again, thanks for posting!

From what I hear this was really good (it was gone before I got to try it!). I did have a problem getting it to thicken and added another tablespoon of cornstarch but that didn't seem to help. Not sure what I did wrong.

This is ONE GREAT PIE!!!! It was my first try at strawberry pie and I'm so happy I tried it. Thanks for this great recipe and I'll sure be making this while the berries are out for the season.

This pie is so pretty and delicious. Loved the idea of the cream cheese. I used Bluemoon's idea and added some framboise to the strawberries. Thanks so much :)

Fresh strawberry pie is my favorite, and I loved this variation. The cream cheese pairs wonderfully well with the strawberries, cutting the sugary sweetness a bit. Used Roxygirl's all-butter crust #117324 and skipped the red food coloring. Simple and delicious and a wonderful use for those beautiful fresh berries. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Oh WOW! This pie is really good. The layer of cream cheese keeps the crust from becoming soggy. My berries were quite large, so I ended up cutting them in half and placing them on top of the cream cheese mixture. I made Easy Shortbread Crust recipe #50974 for the crust and made it in a tart pan and topped it off with freshly whipped cream. Pie or tart it truly is a dining experience.

This is wonderful. I was just thinking about making a pie. As it happened, I'd gone shopping yesterday and had a quart of strawberries AND a block of cream cheese and a carton of strawberry cool whip, but no clear idea about what to do. Cheesecake? Strawberry pie? BOTH! What a concept! I used half a block of cream cheese--about 4 oz. Great idea! Thanks Nimrod Cook!

This pie proved to be just as delicious as it looks in Kozmic Blues’ photograph, but mine wasn’t quite as red, probably because I omitted the red food colouring. I made a simple crust from crushed biscuits (Granitas, for Australians; a sweet biscuit) and melted butter, and I used brown sugar and a reduced fat cream cheese and milk, which worked fine. I must admit I was tempted to use a liqueur instead of the water, but I was a bit nervous that it might not work! But next time, I think I’ll brave it, and substitute half the water for liqueur! In view of how delicious it was, this pie was really quick to make, and the instructions were easy to follow. I served it with fresh cream, and everyone just LOVED it.
