Best ever strawberry pie.
- 1 pint strawberry, washed and hulled
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 prebaked pie shell
- Mix water sugar and cornstarch in small saucepan.
- Bring to boil stirring often. When mixture thickens and turns transparent, remove from heat add strawberries and pour into baked pie shell.
- Chill top with Cool Whip and eat.
this was very good. hard to eat just one piece.
Delicious! I chose this recipe because all the others I looked at called for Jello and I didn't have any. Am I glad I picked this one! It's wonderful. Easy and tasty and made with ingredients that you don't have to run out to the store to get. I added about a teaspoon of lemon juice and 3 drops of red food coloring to the glaze after it was done cooking. I used 2 pints of sliced strawberries and I tossed the berries in the glaze before pouring into my pie shell. My whole family loved it! Thank you!
The flavor was phenomenal!!! The only amendment I would make is to slice the berries first, in addition to adding more...perhaps 1 1/2 or 2 pints. Enjoy!!!!
