This is one of my favorite treats! I've been making it for a long time and just never reviewed it. It helps to warm jam in microwave for a few second to make it easier to spread. These don't last any time at my house! Thanks!

Thank you so much for this recipe. Quick, easy and delish!!
I made a double recipe in a pyrex 9 x 13 (didn't stick at all). They lasted less than 48 hours! And it was only my husband and 14 year old daughter that ate them. They had them for dessert and for breakfast.
Given that I did make them for a quick breakfast snack, I did use a very nice whole wheat flour instead of normal flour.
I'm going to make them again and again and again, but the next time I'm going to use a lower suger and higher fruit jam.
Thanks again from me and my family!

Oh my gosh, these are fantastic! Way better than Nutri-grain bars! I doubled the recipe, greased my aluminum 9x13 pan with Crisco and they came out perfectly. I did only bake for 20 minutes as my oven runs a bit hot. They were just starting to turn golden around the edges. I should have heeded the warming of the jam hint. I used a strawberry spread (which is a bit runnier than jam) from Costco and as I kept pushing the cold spread around, it kept trying to pull up the bottom crust. These really are delicious and I would certainly ignore the "lousy" comment that one reviewer left. This would also make a great children's cooking project. A kid would have a lovely time squishing the crust ingredients together! Thank you for posting your wonderful recipe! It's a keeper!!

AAAMAZING! These bars smell delish! I doubled the recipe and had to add an extra 1/4c butter. I also used homemade pear jam. I don't think these babies will make it through the day!

Thanks for posting this quick, easy recipe. Fine the way it is, it really lends itself to tweaking. I used Bonne Maman strawberry jelly, whole wheat pastry flour, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon and cut the butter by just over 2 Tbsp. Delicious! Nice to have something different to offer the kids. I think I would like to try this with some raspberry jam, almond extract and maybe some crushed almonds or pecans in the topping.

These are addicting! I did double the recipe, used wheat flour and added 1 teaspoon cinnamon to the oat mixture. Easy to throw together and they taste fantastic. Will be making often, thanks!

These are a sweet treat. I used Smucker's Simply Fruit which is all fruit and fruit juice instead of the jam. Used whole wheat pastry flour. I put a little vanilla ice cream with mine because they are sweet but good.

I used pourable apricot instead as my daughter can't do strawberries yet. I also added a bit of wheat germ and cinnamon. She LOVED them!
